Mesa or Middle Earth?

Which is better? I heard MEsa has bigger dorms, but are they really alot bigger than Middle Earth? I dunno what to do! Please reply quick! Im planning to do the housing stuff tonight!!

Current UCI Students: What would you prefer honestly? I'm an undeclared major, probably goign to do Bio or Business/Econ

mesa all the waaay! don't let the ME kids try to talk you into that "family" baloney. bigger rooms ftw!

Here we go again!

Middle is a lot closer to the ARC and grocery shopping (especially Albertsons). Plus, there are two dining commons here and Middle is a lot closer to Ring Road.

i lived in a phase III in middle earth and my room was a lot bigger than my friend's room in mesa (but her's was one of the older dorms) but still...

i remember putting mesa as my first choice but after living in middle earth, i am DEFINITELY glad i ended up in middle..

adingbobo, that's the thing.. it's all based on the luck of the draw
so if you're lucky, i'm sure middle earth is better than mesa court (due to the former's sheer proximity to classes), but otherwise, i think i'm going w/ mesa court...

although i do wish there was somehow a way to beat the system or dramatically increase your chances of landing a phase III in middle earth...... is there such a thing? haha

From my experience in talking to people, they always recommend the one they are in and LOVE how they picked it.

Really, it sounds like both are great.

dawn1029, a SLIGHT way to increase your chances would be to pick a cluster that has a phase III...my cluster was the Health something something (HSSLRs).. so if you want, look for Valimar/Oakenshield/Evenstar/Crickhollow cause those are the phase IIIs

^ oh and the 4 phase IIIs are in separate clusters, if i didn't make it clear ..

When I visited, I liked the feeling of Mesa much better than Middle Earth. The living area(not the dorm) seemed much more spacious as there were 2, one on each floor. They're really just personal preferences, I know friends that are happy at both.

addingbobo, i actually did go through that site on ME housing and try to pick out all the themes that had new phases.. but even the themes that included the newest phases factor out to have a probability of 1/4 unfortunately

haha yeah when i first thought of that idea, i thought it was the most brilliant thing ever.. but thanks for the suggestion!
