So Worried - Chance Me?

Here's the thing, most of the ivies, like Columbia, have the no loan amazing aid. Most other colleges don't. So there's limited chance to get such a package from other schools. Harvard, Yale and Dartmouth and some of the top LACs will leave you debt free after college. In my opinion, that alone would make them worth a look.

I haven't visited anywhere yet. I don't have the money to visit! I am going down to GWU at the end of March. I'm probably going to hit up American in the fall for their open house. I'm going to visit Boston in the spring - I'll have to tell you how it is, won't I? I'm hoping to make a trip to VCU but it's not a big deal if I don't get down there.

The idea of 100+ students in a class doesn't really bother me, strangely enough. Some students are totally averse to it, and a lot of colleges are playing it down. For me, it's a part of life.

hmom5 - you're right. But I doubt I'd get into those schools anyway. Vanderbilt, UVa, UNC Chapel Hill, and Vassar all have the loan-free packages. Above all that, I might even be able to get into those schools. I know that at least one of those financial dream schools will end up on my list, but I'm not sure which one. NYC sounds like a neat place to be, but honestly I prefer Boston (Harvard?) or DC. I'm so disappointed Georgetown doesn't have an awesome loan-free package, or I'd definitely apply there.

And, don't hurt me - what does LAC stand for?

I'll be looking forward to it.
