I’ve been researching all the mainly acting on film summer programs I can find for teens that are rigorous and actually have good training. Im 16 and a sophomore and getting really good training is really important to me! The programs need to be relatively cheaper and less than a month long.
So, I found the SOCAPA program and the Relativity film program. Both soubd great, but the problem is there are absolutely no reviews on either! ANY info from anyone has about other amazing program options would be SO helpful thank you!!
Hi Hi! I can speak to the Relativity Workshops program. I have seen their final presentations and they look really professional and the students seem to be having a great time while there. A lot of the faculty from the Relativity School college teach the workshops as well. I hope this helps! Have you checked out their website?

I did SOCAPA when I was younger and it’s a ton of fun. You get a nice balance of scene work as well as working in short films. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
My daughter went to SOCAPA in NYC. They do film acting more than theater. I’m not sure she had the best time. The students act in films wirtten by students in the film program, so they are not doing “high caliber” scripts. She was a commuter, which I don’t think I would recommend, since she had to say many late nights and start again early in the morning. I think I would recommend a program where you actually have to audition to get in… to get a higher quality student. I also found out after the fact that Stella Adler has a summer acting program for teens. I would also look into that.
