harvard1636, the vibe you described is totally my scene. people who like to have fun on weekends, but don’t necessarily go out every day of the week. i definately want a combination of partying and just hanging out with friends, watching a movie or something, and harvard seems to have that.

harvard1636 gave a pretty accurate description of the scene at Harvard. Just one minor quibble:

“First of all, it’s final club, not finals club.”

Technically yes it is a “final” club, but in my experience at the school, calling them finals clubs was a great deal more common. The only place I ever actually saw them referred to as final clubs was in The Crimson, which is more of a stickler for correctness than the general student body. So in regular conversation, I doubt anyone will think the less of you for going with the more generally accepted option.

:)

“First of all, it’s final club, not finals club. Just fyi.”

Wait, what? I’ve never heard any harvard student call them final clubs. They are finals clubs…

For any current students:
Approximately what percentage of students drink, and what percentage smoke pot?
Is alcohol a lot more prevalent than marijuana?

Alcohol is a lot more prevalent than marijuana. That’s probably true everywhere in the U.S. except maybe Humboldt State. :)
