Social Security Disability Income and Financial Aid

I am disabled and receive social security disability income. My husband works full time. Does my SSDI get listed as part of our income when applying for financial aid?

Does it get listed as income on your tax return? If so, it will. If not, it probably doesn’t.

You need to determine if your social security benefits (regular or disability) taxable or not. Any taxable social security benefits will be included in your AGI and untaxed social security benefits are not reported in FAFSA.
