^cupuzz, weird! What major did you apply to and do you think you are a strong candidate?

Business. I’d say I have a likely chance of getting in.

So after you told him you did not know if you were accepted or not did he still talk to you about going to Ireland?

Yeah he continued on for a bit. He seemed very surprised that I haven’t received a decision yet, but I think he really has no idea if I’m in or not

Well, I think it’s a good sign for you, I haven’t gotten any phone calls and have not been admitted either yet, hahaha.

Good luck though, hopefully a third way will be this week!

Hi guys, Greetings from India.
I’ve been accepted to Drexel with $15000 annual scholarship and an offer to join their honors college. Anyone else got invite for the honors college? If so, how interested are you in attending Drexel?

@thunderboltsid,

When were you accepted? Please share your stats as well.

@cupuzz - HAHAHAHA!! Weird!!

But I’ve noticed that Drexel’s damn slow! The soft copy of my acceptance letter on my portal is dated 30th January 2013, but my portal showed my decision only on 8th Feb!!

So it could be so that you have been accepted & your acceptance has been communicated to the various study abroad program reps and you got contacted!! But the guys at discover.drexel are too slow maybe??

@thunderboltsid - Congrats!! If you just look back through this thread you’d notice that all the acceptances till now have been to the Honors college! Also it seems that the maximum AJ Drexel scholarship awarded to Internationals is 15k p.a.!!

I might attend Drexel but that solely depends on how my other decisions go & whether or not I get more scholarship via Drexel’s Global Scholarship!! :)

There was no mention of honors college in my acceptance letter nor on my portal. I got in a week ago with 15K scholarship as well.

ohh still no notification. Anyone? :(

No notification yet! Please Drexel give us our decisions!

@alisiddiqui - Ohh well, you can always apply for it separately!! I’m sure you’d get in!! :D

I got my acceptance package yesterday. I found this strange because I was never e-mailed about a portal or anything. I’m pretty sure they have the wrong email address for me, lol.

Anyway,

26,000$ scholarship with Honors College
Business & Engineering with one co-op

I was very happy for the scholarship but it is still a little expensive so I hope I can some aid.

Good luck to all those still waiting!

I think they notify every two weeks so the next wave should be next Wednesday.

^Exactly beau123. I was thinking this too. Hopefully, we will get our decisions next week.

@Antartica, congratulations. Please share your stats and r u an international student?

woohoo for 2 week waves lol

Today, I reviewed an email with the subject “The Drexel Glimpse - How will you get involved” and it talks about how as a freshman one needs to have community service credits. I have pasted the email body below. I have not been accepted, but don’t know why they sent me this email. Any one else get this? Opinions?

You’ve already heard a lot about what Drexel can do for you, and that’s a good thing. But what about how you can use your college experience to help others?

Drexel places a big emphasis on service we believe that it’s part of becoming a well-rounded person. That’s why Drexel has a community service requirement for all freshmen.

And just because service is required doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun while you do it. The Civc Engagement database is filled with meaningful opportunities that connect you with the community. Drexel students participate by being part of the Colonial Athletic Association’s annual blood drive (to which we’ve contributed the highest number of donations for five straight years!), volunteering as mentors in local schools, participating in Alternative Spring Break (it’s like a road trip with a service element), and more.

Service is a great way to improve the community, stay active, and even make new friends you might not have met in your classes.

To learn more, visit the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement website, and start thinking about how you might want to get involved.
