I am not sure, it may be different every year. The person I spoke to received her first choice, but signed up soon after acceptance. She suggested I do that. We are working on a decision, my son is in the business program. I saw somewhere unofficially online that Greece is the biggest program so does not fill up. I can’t confirm that. There are two different programs in London. Would be interesting to know the approximate group size at each.
@2022soon My daughter is also in the business program;) I read that some popular locations like London can fill up by the end of the first week of April. A student told me to check the Nuin (logged in?) website frequently as it will state that certain locations are filling up or at capacity.
@shafthalf @wheatonmom Last year the England location in London filled quickly. This year they have added a second location in London though.
@2022soon I think each location, aside from Greece, is about 100 students max. Yesterday they said that NUin was at 1100 students either last year or that is the plan for this year. I believe there are two new locations, Prague and perhaps a second location within one of the original countries.
@wheatonmom ok thank you. That is very helpful! I wish we could have made the admit day.
@wheatonmom Thanks just saw your other message. That’s great that she is in business too. It will be a great experience for these kids. I’ll check that site and get him signed up very soon. I saw that they also have a NUin Facebook page you can like. Which location is your daughter leaning towards?
I think she is leaning towards Madison, WI, but I’m trying to keep NUin alive;) She was interested in London, but I paid for a summer trip already for the same it week it starts. Who would have thought Northeastern would start mid-August!
@wheatonmom Did you see that Italy starts later, August 28th? Wisconsin is a great program as well though.
I think if she changes her mind, Italy would become her first choice. Is your son definitely going to NU?
@wheatonmom Yes definitely. He loves the Co-op program and being right in Boston with all the different college kids all around from the other schools as well. He also thinks the NUin program is really a cool way to start. Italy looks great!
I did NU.in in 2016 and had a great experience, if you have any questions feel free to ask (I am biased as I do serve as a representative for the program at admitted student days an such)
