Some Questions

Any thoughts on the voice program for MT students at Syracuse? Are a broad variety of styles and techniques taught, good technical training, vocal health? How about the amount of time devoted to vocal training in the curriculum. If you want to schedule additional private lessons beyond what is provided for in the curriculum, can you and is it beneficial to do so?

Also, in another thread there was discussion about the head of the department stepping down. Has this occured and has a successor been appointed?

Finally, another thread mentioned that the sophmore review process was being changed. Can anyone elaborate on that?

The head of MT at Syracuse is planning on retiring. He has stated that he will not leave until he/they find a suitable replacement for his dual role head of the dept and the theater. It sounds like a solid plan for the program.
