Some questions :)

If you write on your application that you want to major in a specific field - are you then bound to that field?

I have heard that music is a pretty strong EC - if you’re good. But how do you prove your skills, if you don’t have any awards?

Thanks :)

No, you can change your major once you're in college and many people do. As for the music thing, you could send in a video or list some of the performances you've done?

Most people change their major more than once in college.

As for me, I've switched which school I'm applying to within a certain university twice, even before being admitted. Go me!

^^ I thought it depended on the school. Like if you are going to major in engineering, sometimes you have to apply to a specific school within the college. So check with your schools; sometimes it is very difficult to change from the major you declared.

As far as music goes, SEND A RECORDING! I do not have many major awards for piano, but I sent a recording of two contrasting pieces, as well as a recording of a piece I wrote. I don't know if it made a difference in my decision, but I got into the schools I applied to early action!

^^Agreed with lalaloo6 on the recording. Check the applications of your schools to see if they have any arts supplements. Depending on each school and their supplement, they will ask for a recording or a letter of rec or etc.

Ok, thanks for all the answers :)

I just checked the application form and it actually have an art supplement. Does anyone know who will listen to it?

lalaloo6: What two pieces did you play? I play the piano too and there are many pieces to choose hehe.. Also, how did you record - in a studio?

do you stay in one school of wharton the whole time, if not how often do you change e.g economics, management ect.
