Some thoughs on Irvine

<p>"Fycus it would be cool if you could expand on your experience at uci. how were the dorms? which one did you like better, MC or ME? any other thoughts?"</p>

<p>Sure...I liked the dorms at UCI more than all of the schools I have visited. They were surprisingly big and were well kept by nearly all of the students. The other dorms I compared to UCI were university of washington seattle, uc santa cruz, sdsu, cal poly slo, etc. Normally suites are void of social activity at schools but UCI suites seemed to be the most happening place on the campus. Hands down I would prefer MC over ME. Mesa seemed like a friendlier and more social environment, while the ME dorms seemed void of life throughout the whole day I stayed at UCI. Most of the students at UCI mentioned that they did not get into the higher tier UC's, and that is why they are attending. While that may seem a little depressing at first, none of the students are upset that they are attending UCI (from what ive heard). They all enjoy the school and all it has to offer. Personally, I would think about going greek because the school isnt the best socially, but joining clubs and getting involved will make any experience better. My host told me a few times, "college is what you make of it." If you stay involved and choose to participate in activities, you will enjoy your stay at college much more.</p>
