"Welcome to the UCSD admissions information Web site for Fall Quarter 2008 undergraduate applicants. We have carefully reviewed your records and regret that we cannot offer you admission to the University of California, San Diego. The selection process was very difficult this year as we had an excellent pool of competitive applicants. You will receive an official notification shortly."

I can't believe this, I had a 3.6 GPA and from a ccc. Im going to appeal. Man this sucks.

Damn..I didn't apply to SD but i did apply to Davis. If you didn't get in for Spanish with a 3.6, i don't think i like my chances of getting into Davis for English with a 3.5..Hopefully Davis is more lenient.

ALL i have to say is ......."LOTTERY"....... this is such B.S Spanish major with a 3.6 seriously how many Spanish majors could their have been..

Yea, i know seriously! But, i did hear that they don't even look at your major when making a decision....only if the major you applied for is impacted

UCSD accepted 72% of all applicants last year, with an average admit GPA of something like a 3.2 ...the OP's situation seems nearly incomprehensible.

If this is fake, i think he should get a ban...you people can't play with my emotions like this! haha. Atleast when lackofsense did it, he told us right away he was kidding.....but this...a whole story....baaah.
