Some very cool reading if you're bored...

I'm writing a research paper on scientific fraud... so I've been floating around finding lots of sources. Somewhere along the line I discovered an article by Caltech Professor / Vice Provost David Goodstein (Phys 1a prof). Although I found most of my sources to be mildly interesting, I was really bowled over by Goodstein's articles-- first one on Millikan (In Defense of Robert Andrews Millikan) , then one called "Conduct and Misconduct in Science"... and then I read all the rest on his website. They are brief but very well written and powerful. You may not have the same reaction as I did, but I enjoyed Professor Goodstein's articles so much that I emailed him telling him so!

In any case, the articles I mentioned can be found at http://www.its.caltech.edu/~dg/articles.html

Thanks for the link to the analysis of Millikan's experiments.

Wow.

Thanks.
