<p>Need some advice on this question </p>

<p>I am sure of whether "D" is wrong here (suggests) should "suggests" be changed into "suggested" to agree with the preceding past tense of anothr verb "had several authors" or this question is without error ?</p>

<p>“Suggests” is correct. It is an example of ‘historical present tense’. Even though the “Odyssey” was written long ago, it still exists in the present.</p>

<p>what is meant by "historical present tense "? Usually, anything historical event should be in the past ?</p>

<p>There is no error, because you speak in the present progressive when you talk about something in literature or a movie.</p>
