is there any chance of starting out in community college…with a ged…then getting into a top law school? what do I need to do?

Yes. You need to make sure you're taking a courseload at community college that will lead to your going to a 4-year university. You need to get excellent grades. You need to eventually go to a 4-year college and get excellent grades and do well on the LSAT.

One of my friend's sisters started at a community college and now is at a top 50 law school. I also know another person who will be going to a top 50 law school this fall after going to community college and then to a 4-year public university.

One of these students was an excellent student in high school and went to community college afterward because of lack of $. The other goofed off in high school, and was forced to go to community college because his parents wouldn't let him go out of his hometown to college. He excelled in college then went to the state's top public university, where he also did well. This fall, he'll start law school there.

I suggest that you talk to the career counselor at the community college, and also see if they can help you connect with an alum who is a lawyer. E-mail or call the alum to get their advice.

Best of luck to you! Your dream truly is possible!

thank you so much, it's nice to hear that it is possible. Is history a good major? And any advice on EC's?
