Someone help me with my list/plan?

So I planned on having an Engineering major while either completing for my major or doing a 3-2 program. I planned on trying to meet the reqs for Medical School as well, but doing Engineering as a major so I have a backup if not getting in to Medical School

I have an 87-88 average, I think that's a 3.3GPA(?)
Work Experience- White & Case LLP. (2 Years Online Marketing); New York Supreme Court: Appellate Division (Receptionist for 4 months); Arquitectonica (Student Intern)
Extra Currics - Community Service for 2 years at Momentum Soup Kitchen (For people with AIDs and Homeless), Ridgewood Senior Citizen Home, Intramural Field Hockey, SHIP (Student Health Internship Program) Did a program where I worked in a hospital and took classes for the health field.
SAT scores ugh have not got them back yet.

Basically my list is here:

Lehigh University
Hartwick College (3/2 Program with Columbia Uni Fu Foundation...|100% Guaranteed into Columbia|)
Carnegie Mellon (dream school)
Clark University (3/2 Program with Columbia Uni (Fu Foundation)
Rochester Institute of Technology (Safety)

Any recommendations?

I'm trying to stay in the Mid-Atlantic and New England area since I'm from New York.

Also if it helps my grades for last year (Jr Year) were 91 for math and 87 for science

For my math and sciences, I have maintained an B+ to an A+ throughout my whole Math.
For science I have maintained a B to an A. I’ve taken Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry and this year Physics. All my math classes have been honors.

Boston University? George Washington University?

Your GPA is real low for Lehigh. They want you in the top 10% of your high school class and your SAT’s better be 1300+. Carnegie Mellon is even tougher.

maybe look into Worcester Polytechnic Institute in MA. agree that CMU might be tough

Lehigh, I know for me is a reach school, however I have spoken with Admissions and they have put me in their DAP (Diversity Achievers Program) with my own application in which I go two days of the school year. Also a person from my school who helps in finances knows trustees from Lehigh University and have been giving them my name, so it’s becoming a little easier with connections.
Also, the bottom end of Lehigh scores are around a 1220, so I hope to get atleast that, if not I’ll be taking it again.

Boomie do you know if BU is good with financial aid?

^^^

Criticals…do you know that Financial Aid is mostly student loans? It’s not “free money”

Do you know that F/A is determined by parents income? Do you know what your family income is? Do you know what your family’s EFC is?

why not study Biomedical Engineering at a engineering school?

mom2college kids,

Yes I know. I fit most of the standards. My parents make below 22k. Also, I am not claimed on my aunt’s tax return who does the funding. I am claimed on my Grandmother’s tax return who only gets check from the government monthly (retirement checks?..I forgot).

Make sure you have some saftie schools. Your list seems like high match or just reaches to me.

Actually both BU and GWU are very expensive. They have merit aid for the top applicants. I’m sure if either of them even guarantee to meet your FAFSA expected contribution.

If I could get some help with some more safety schools or some choices that would be helpful, thanks.

I’d look at the SUNYs, Buffalo at least.
