Son is undecided on going to college ~ FAFSA?

<p>My son is still undecided about going to college right out of high school. He wants to take a year off ~ "BAD IDEA" I told him. He has his SAT taken and probably won't take another one his Senior year...</p>

<p>Anyway, just wondering if we should submit a FAFSA next year for him. He will be a HS Senior this coming school year.</p>

<p>You only submit the FAFSA to the schools he's applied to. If he's not applying, don't submit it. If he is applying, submit it. Easy.</p>

<p>A 'gap year' is not all bad.
Make sure, however, that he applies to schools this year and then defers admission for a year at his school of choice. Tell him not to wait until next year to apply.</p>
