I am an incoming freshman to LSA for fall 2016, and recently have discovered nursing is the perfect career for me (originally was going to be pre-med). I was curious as to just how competitive the transfer to nursing applicant pool is. I am in the RC for Spanish, so I will be proficient in the language by the end of winter term, and am in UROP for health/life sciences, so I think that will help my application. I also work in a nursing home as a dining assistant, have shadowed in two Detroit hospital ERs, and have participated in HOSA. Besides maintaining a high GPA in my Spanish courses and nursing pre-reqs, what else would one recommend to strengthen my chances of transferring successfully? Thanks!
