k thanks a lot :)

Hi,

The system has changed since back in my day. It used to be the case that all sophomores and juniors were guaranteed spots in a certain quad. For some quads, that was quite easy. I had a single in Edens both my sophomore and junior years.

Furthermore, it used to be the case that upperclassmen had incentives to stay in the same quad, further restricting their ability to pick all the singles.

This coming year, however, restrictions on quads have been lifted, meaning that the actual status of a room is going to be much more important.

Still, I'm not convinced that Edens singles will all be taken. I just don't know how it's going to play out. If you must live in Edens, though, I might want to suggest that you pick one of the pretty buildings (3A, 3B). They're a little bit farther, but newer, brighter, with bigger windows... all in all, I thought it was a worthwhile tradeoff.

It was the way that they did the housing this year... all rising sophomores HAD to have a roommate (or two) when filling out the applications. I wonder if they will force upper classmen to have singles, or will force rising sophomore roommates into two different rooms, or will try to convert the extra singles into doubles?
