Hi All,

I'm a current High School Sophomore and I've got some worries about the college process.

I attend a very selective boy's school in Cleveland, OH. I'm currently earning around a 3.4 GPA, up from a 3.2 Freshman year. I've finally decided that grades are important to me. I also have some (what I consider to be good) extracurriculars.

National Competitive Debater (National Circuit) - A captaincy is very likely senior year.
I sit on a committee that manages about $100,000 of the school's endowment. A presidency is likely senior year.
News Editor / Asst. Editor-in-Chief on the School Paper (oldest one in ohio) - An Editor-in-Chief assignment, again, is very likely senior year.
Glee Club - Will continue for all four years of high school.
Film Society Administration - Will continue for 3 years
Gay-Straight Alliance - Member
I attended debate camp over the summer at harvard.

I'm just looking for some input on what I should look to do in the next ~2.5 years (obviously bring up the GPA - should be up to a 3.6+ by the end of this year, and will be up to a 3.8 by the end of junior year.) I really enjoy the topic of international relations, so I've been thinking about looking into some schools for that (Georgetown, UChicago, GWU) And so far I've really been enamored with Georgetown. I was wondering, though, If my low GPA (even at a very rigorous school) will affect me in a large way.

thanks.

P.S. I apologize for my gratuitous use of parentheses.
