Sororities at Dartmouth

Hey guys! I've always wanted to go Greek at college (guess I picked the right school to do that! lol) and so I'm planning on joining a sorority when I get the chance at Dartmouth. Can anyone tell me about the different ones, like which have houses, what their personalities are like, are there any stereotypes about the girls at certain sororities, etc.? I'm just looking for info from real students or people who would know.

Thanks!

You can’t rush freshmen year so you have lots of time to get to know them.

Search this site, all the info you seek is here.

In my opinion, sororities conform to much much looser stereotypes. They’re all so large, and they make such a small difference in your social life that many girls can fit in at many houses. Most girls don’t even know which houses they want to be in when it comes time to rush, because freshman have no interaction with them.

The major differences to know is that some are local and some are national. The local ones, KDE and SigmaDelt can throw parties and serve alcohol.

Yeah tell all that to the girl who lived next to me sophomore year who spent a whole day bawling because she got dinged from Kappa.
