Well, I can’t hold it in today!.. D and friend are ready to launch a comic in July.
Unbelievable amount of work and thought.(research, conventions, networking, fund raising–not for the faint of heart)
It is amazing to see the creativity, focus and business savvy from your kids.
(LOL–all those years they couldn’t clean their rooms and now they are ready to face down the world.)
Be sure to send a link or information, @gouf78 - congrats to them!
@gouf78 - Yes! Send a link!
I will. It’ll be a while but it is exciting to see vision in action!

What the heck is that word - “spruiking”?? I speak Dutch so it jumped out at me immediately as a word that looks Dutch, but I have never seen this word before! Is it a word typically used in the comic genre? Congrats to your son and sorry for the tangent.
@choirsandstages - If you know Dutch, then think of the word sprookje. (I looked it up: google spruiking). I worked in the Netherlands (Hilversum) for a very short time a long time ago. I was flying on KLM to Schiphol and the flight attendant saw me with a Dutch language book (one of those little Berlitz books) and she said to me, “Since you are trying to learn Dutch, you are now forbidden to use English on this aircraft.” It was so much fun for the next 6 hours or so, and she corrected my pronunciation every time I tried to say something to her. But it really helped.
Sprookje means fairytale doesn’t it? I did Google spruiking but it still seems very weird. I have always had great experiences flying KLM… I miss Holland. Haven’t been there for about 10 years!
This just seems to make intuitive sense. Except for a few sectors, this is probably true everywhere.
