Thanks again everyone! Just submitted my app online . I will confirm with the coach but I will assume that somehow my app will be flagged as an athletic app since the coach entered me in the system with one of the top slots.

I was told that a likely letter should be issued within a couple weeks of having everything in---- but from the responses here, nothing is guaranteed. I just want to sense that my chances are 99% favorable. I’m also Hispanic and noted that on my app. I wonder if they consider both the athletic and Hispanic (minority) flag and if that helps my chances of getting the likely.

congrats on getting in the app but don’t wait weeks for the LL! You should be in-touch with the coach, preferably by phone, to let him know you submitted and you expect LL before Nov. 1. You still have to keep doors open. If Nov. 1 is too soon and you’re not still on radar for other ivies fine, but at least keep nescac ed options open - their ed deadline is nov 15 and could be good back-up, if you have any relationships with those coaches. they are often used to having to wait for kids to hear from ivies before they get their first choice athletes…best of luck and keep us posted.

of course i don’t know the particulars for your case but in my experience with 2 athletic recruits, admissions is on top of these applications with their own designated adcoms for recruits who are on coaches’ lists. your rum status probably doesn’t matter because you don’t “need” it but i’m sure they like that too.

Thanks all! Latest update is I spoke to the coach after I submitted ED, and he is submitting the priority card for me now that the app is in so that I can get the likely before Nov. 1. Hoping the coach support, my minority status, decent essay are enough to get me in. The waiting period is unnerving.
