I'm pretty strong in Spanish (5 yrs, 5 on the AP test, 7/7 on the IB test, 770 on the SAT II) so I want to minor in it in college. I asked the Dean what level I should take and she said a 100-level class.

Advanced Intensive Spanish is in Costa Rica.
Advanced Spanish Grammar is waitlisted.
Spanish for Oral Communication is closed.
Advanced Grammar is in Bolivia.

The other 100s are in literature, which I'm not ready for yet.

So the option left is Spanish 101, Advanced Spanish Writing. I'm a little nervous, to tell the truth, that I'm taking such a high level, because I haven't taken a class in a few months.

My question is, what was Spanish 101 like for anyone who has taken it? Is it tough, fast paced, really intensive? I don't mind any of those, btw, I'm just wondering.
