Spanish or Japanese

I was wondering which foreign language should I take my junior and senior year. I am going to a new school and they are offering my dream language, Japanese. However, I have taken and done extremely well in 3 courses in Spanish at my old high school. There really is no way for me to do both languages without self studying one and I was looking to see if anyone knows which would look better to colleges. Also as for my progression into Spanish, the courses I will probably take at my new high school will be conducted entirely in Spanish and will focus more on the literature instead of most of the grammatical stuff which should be familiar to the students in the class already. I was also briefly considering taking Chinese since it seems that the introductory courses conducted at the school cover a substantial amount of information.

Quality > Quantity

But I think more than that, they just want to see 4 years of a language. Sure--if you stick to Spanish, you'd have another AP to tack onto your transcript, but I personally think that taking a language that you really want to take is more important.

Ask the students at your school about the classes. Are they particularly easy/hard? Do they really feel that they are learning a lot about the language and culture of the speakers? I would think you'd find more quality Spanish teachers than Chinese or Japanese so I'd stick with that. That's just my personal opinion though.

spanish is SO MUCH EASIER in my school
i take both i have easily an A in Spanish 4 honors
but in Japanese 2 i barely have an A- 90.1%, theres like 3 As in the Japanese class, the teacher doesnt like to give As.

im leaning towards dropping japanese 3 next year and just focus on Spanish 5 AP... not sure yet though

what do u plan to do w/ chinese and japenese? i doubt u can be fluent in just some highschool courses... u probably will have to go to the country/ take it in college as well...... are u going for an international/communication/business major???
