i may not know how to spell, but at least i can make proper pronoun references :p

bball got served, as always.

their refers to several people, bball...you should know that since you're too good for Cornell ;).

Bball got served. The sky is blue.

The Roman slave ringleader was named Spartacus, sure, but if sparticus can choose whatever screenname he likes. What's wrong with that.

ok can we please not have a flame war start over the spelling of my username? :D

lets start a grammar thread!!! :) (shouldnt the "got" in his post be a "have"?)

yeah, but the slang "got" is much more widely used.

Imagine if that movie was called "You have been served." Just doesn't sound as badass.

I think Gregster was talking about bball.

Actually "their" for the the singular form for the possessive is becoming more and more accepted because of the ackwardness of using "his or her." My FWS as well as my HS English teachers all accepted "their." I still use "his or her" though in my formal writing.

my FWS and HS english teachers didn't accept their as a singular. However, it IS entirely true that is becoming more widely accepted because of the "his or her" dilemma. This wasn't an issue until feminism gained steam.

Here' the way to go- don't say "their"- it's just wrong. "his or her" sounds dopey at times. Just use "his". Or "her" when appropriate, or whenever you want to. "someone knows how to spell his name". Sparticus is a male character.

You guys should realize that English as well as every other language is fluid and subject to change. Take a linguistics class or read some archaic English.

or just realize that bball's obnoxious.

just realize that ur obnoxious, go drink some bicardi or w.e. u drink, go out and drunk w. ppl rather than drinking ur apple juice in ur dorm

good luck w. ur semester btw

That was a wonderful comeback, I must say...

First of all, it's bacardi. Second, why would I be drinking apple juice in my dorm? If I were drinking apple juice, why would that be insulting? I don't see why you care if I get drunk or what that has to do with your level of obnoxiousness. Perhaps you should take the advice you gave me, get drunk, and stop being such a whiney prick.

Good luck with your transfer application ;).

Apple juice party in Spanks' dormmmmmm

when did you two start arguing?
