Does Case give any special scholarships to Ohio residents?

There are a few scholarships available just to Ohio residents, most of the scholarships are available to anyone. If you go to the Case Website, then to financial aid, then to "types of assistance" then to "scholarships" and then to "Scholarships Available to Freshman" you can look through the available ones.

Are they need or merit based? I wasn't thinking about filing a FAFSA because I don't think I'll get need-based aid.

Check the website & contact financial aid for clarification, I'm not an Ohio resident so I'm not as familiar with the Ohio resident scholarships.

Most of the merit scholarships are based on SAT (ACT) scores, but not everyone gets them. Criteria may also be based on talents, ECs, URM status, geographic diversity, how early you apply, etc. They used to be in SAT tiers of 1300 / 1400 / and 1500, but that may change in any given year. No FAFSA is required.
