Specialization in game for CS

I was wondering if I could specialize in game for CS, because it wasn’t on the list of specializations.

Or should I double major of CS and CGS?

Anyone?

I’m like 99% there was a specialization in video game design offered through the Bren School of ICS when I was there 5 years ago, as well as several courses dedicated to game design

@spellingbead these are the ones I’m seeing on the website

https://www.ics.uci.edu/ugrad/degrees/degree_cs.php

@Mjain10 I do not see on it on that page, although the Algorithms specialization looks like it includes game design

Algorithms. This specialization focuses on fundamental computational techniques, including their analysis and applications to topics in computer vision, computer games, graphics, artificial intelligence, and information retrieval. Topics include data structures, graph and network algorithms, computational geometry, probabilistic algorithms, complexity theory, and cryptography.

I would check with ICS Student Affairs to see if the Game Design Specialization has been changed to “Algorithms” or possibly moved to/cross listed with another school.

@spellingbead I will :slight_smile: thanks so much!
