Speech and Debate?

Hey, I'm planning to join the speech and debate team on campus. Does anyone know if the team is good? Are there alot of members? Is it time consuming? Sorry about the numerous questions, but any information on it would be nice. Thank you

I am also interested in learning more about USC’s debate team.

USC has a policy debate team. yes.
[USC Trojan Debate Squad](http://www.usctrojandebate.com/)
this is their website.
It sounds like none of y’all did high school debate?
cause debate is indeed very time consuming, and it’s not easy. But if you put in the effort ( a lot of hard work), you’ll do well, and it’ll be worth it.

Thank’s for the link, but is the debate speech primarily focused on debates? It sounds like a dumb question, but at my high school, speech/debate involves duo interpretations, original oratory, etc. Are those not part of the debate team at sc?

Hm, im not exactly sure. their site says “The Trojans compete in a range of events, but the primary emphasis is intercollegiate policy debate and on-campus public debate.”

the stuff you talked about are speech events, which USC might have. You best bet is to contact them.
I do know that debate-wise, there is no Lincoln Douglass debate in college.
They have policy, and maybe something else.
