Speech Forensics at Alabama

<p>Hey! I applied for a Speech Forensics scholarship in January and haven’t heard anything back. I was wondering if anyone has heard of their fate, or has any general knowledge of the team you could share with me, as I’m fairly new to all things Bama and would love to know how difficult these forensics scholarships are to get/how much they are for, etc. Thanks!! </p>

<p>I applied in December, and the coach made me an offer when I auditioned in February. You should email the coach and schedule an audition. If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me. </p>

<p>Thank you! I’m not sure how to do that. Can you tell me how much you offer was for? Does Alabama have a good rep with forensics?</p>

<p>lol…Alabama has an excellent rep with forensics…it’s won something like 15 national championships in Forensics. </p>

<p>As for auditioning, you probably have to contact the person in charge. I used to know his name, but I’ll have to look him up.</p>

<p>The scholarships are usually for half or full tuition…</p>

<p>Everyone on the team receives a scholarship for the value of in-state tuition (9k-10k). So, if you can pair it up with a presidential, you’re looking at a full ride. </p>

<p>The team is wonderful, and everyone is incredibly nice. If you have a chance to meet some team members, I highly recommend it. </p>

<p>As far as not hearing back, I wouldn’t be afraid to shoot Mr. Imbody another email. And, even if you don’t make the team now, I believe they have open auditions in the Fall. </p>
