Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences

I'm a h.s. and part-time student at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, who is interested in the Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences B.A. program at the U. I wanted to major in polisci in the beginning, but the reality of the liberal arts in terms of jobs, salary, and future is unpleasant.

I am thinking of possibly majoring in this major next year as a freshman because I have had experience with the Starkey Inc (hearing aid company) and have enjoyed it. My mom also works in the industry, so I learned a lot from her.

I want to know if anyone have had experience with this major? I want to go on to grad school and obtain a AuD.

sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum

Speech & hearing sciences is a good field to enter. U Minnesota has a strong department in that field, and the university offers numerous relevant minors and certificate programs in other fields to supplement that major. As you probably know, entry to the major and to graduate study is competitive.

Thanks for your help!
