<p>Not a lot - UD is pretty cheap. With your dining hall bucks you can eat at no cost for the week. I'd say as a freshman it's cheaper than when you get older and hit 21. Bars can be a bit more $$ on Main but other than that, Newark is quite a steal financially for students.</p>

<p>I'd get the meal plan for the first year and then play it by year. ALL your friends will be eating in the DH so I'd just do it for the first year - and it's convenient and close to all the residence halls. It'd be a mistake to not get a plan freshman year.</p>
<p>I will most prob be staying at the Christiana towers and will cook on my own. The meal plans turn out to be pretty expensive........</p>
<p>Towers are fine. They are a bit more expensive than the regular residence halls I believe. They are like apartments and not very social. Pretty much populated by upperclassmen.</p>
