Surveys I have read about St. Olaf (.com, College ** guide, etc.) say that sports does not play a large role in student's lives. Of course it plays a large role in the lives of the athletes, but is this true of the student body at large? If it is true, what impact does this have on school spirit? What else fills the student's social lives?

I’d actually like to know abut St. Olaf myself. From what I’ve gathered, they have a good pre-med program and you can apply for free. I decided to not apply because I HATE cold weather!! But, it’d be nice to have some information about the college…

For the student body at large, spectator sports is not a big thing. Music is big, though. A choir concert may draw a larger crowd than a sporting event. There are a lot of intramural sports, though. In the winter, lots of people play broomball (a hockey-like sport played on a sheet of ice with brooms instead of sticks).
