Sports/Athletics.

Will having no sports/athletics as one of your extra-curricular activites hurt you in college admissions? Does athletics, for just participation in it (not a recruited athlete, or anything of that nature), give you any advantages in college admissions? I’ve been wondering about this for quite a while now.

Not having sports won't hurt you. Having it COULD help you (but not on its own). Don't worry about this if you're not even playing a sport. Not everyone is interested in sports or is blessed with athletic gifts. Simply being on a sport is roughly equivalent to being in another club or extracurricular, except the sport probably takes more time.
