I’ve decided that I want to major in sports business (management or marketing) but finding options for schools has not been easy. I know schools such as UMASS and Oregon are top tier in management and marketing but are there any other schools that not only have a good program but a good network? Also, are there any prestigious schools that offer a reputable sports business program?
@Ymoney Check out the Sport Industry undergraduate program at the Ohio State University in the dept of human services within the College of Education & Human Ecology. The degree would be a Bachelor of Science in Education, Sports Industry. Access link at

Rice has a Sports Management major. It is perhaps the closest thing Rice has to an actual Business major. (The school does have a Business minor, however.) According to the director of the program, they place grads into consulting and other standard-issue “business” professions in addition to more sports-oriented career tracks.
