<p>Per TAMU registrar Calendar, "May 11-12 Friday-Saturday. Commencement and Commissioning." The Calendar did not mention Commencement convocation, which last few years held on Thursday, which will be May 10, 2012</p>
<p>It is a relatively new Texas A&M tradition in which all members of a graduating class have the opportunity to assemble together, along with family members and friends in an informal setting. It is a prelude to the degree candidates formally receiving their diplomas in subsequent ceremonies aligned by the academic colleges representing their major fields of study. </p>
<p>Get your hotel early. If you go online now, majority of the hotel from May 10-May 13, 2012 already block off. Call the hotel directly and you may be able to get reservation.</p>
