I’m considering accepting the spring 2019 admittance, and was wondering if a past spring admit could weigh in as to what on-campus activities we are allowed to be involved with if we are living close to USC and taking local cc classes during the fall. I know the football games are an option, but are we allowed to join clubs, work out on campus, etc? Also, with rush moved to spring, and requiring a USC GPA to rush, will that mean we have to wait until fall 2019 (if that is even available) in order to rush as we won’t have our USC GPA until we complete our spring classes?
I’m just trying to figure out my best options right now. Thank you for any advice.
Others should weigh in, but in the past Spring admits are unenrolled, so were not officially eligible to join clubs or use campus facilities. You ask a good question about rush, as this is a new development you may want to call/email a chapter to ask if they will be taking any new members in fall, 2019.
They do rush both in the fall and in the spring. Freshman just are not able to rush until the spring. Not entirely sure on the policy for spring admits; I’d ask your admission counselor.
You can join the Trojan Marching Band! My daughter was in the band for 4 years starting in 2012. A good friend of hers was a Spring admit living near campus and he was in the band with her that first fall semester.
