Spring Matriculation for Freshmen?

<p>Has Harvard ever allowed freshmen (Not Transfers)to matriculate the following spring instead of the fall (in special circumstances)? </p>

<p>Also, can a freshman attend summer classes for credit prior to matriculation?</p>

<p>Harvard only allows fall matriculation for freshmen. If you have a truly phenomenal reason why you're busy in the fall (like, say, you're training for the Winter Olympics), it might be worth taking five minutes to ask, but I expect that they will just tell you to defer for a year.</p>
