I'm currently a freshmen at Boston U in the process of transferring to UR and I intend to join a sorority, but I was wondering if this was possible being a transfer student due to mandatory events in December. Can anyone give more information about this as well as the recruitment process? And if anyone else has been a transfer student here, is it hard to adjust and get involved? Thanks so much!

UR also have a spring orientation for transfer students or new students so you don’t have to worry about that.
And there will be a spring rush for sororities and fraternities so you’re also fine there.

I’m a transfer student myself. I started this fall as a sophomore and I’m really liking it here. Only problem is the housing. A lot more freshman accepted their admission offer this year so pretty much every transfer students had to live off campus. UR is building a new dorm that’s expected to finish next year but till then, it’s pretty cramped. It’s little funny since they literally just opened a new dorm last year.

However, if you’re coming in for the spring semester, you might be able to get an on-campus housing since lots of students go abroad for the spring. Let me know if you have any other questions!
