Ssat practice test princeton review

After completing the practice SSAT in the Princeton prep book I received ...

MATH: 96%
READING: 94%
VERBAL: 72%
TOTAL: 92%

Is the princeton practice test easier than the real test? How did you guys do on the princeton test in comparison to the real exam?

All responses are appreciated

I also used this book, ans have started Barron’s, feedback? Thanks!

I can only say that I think the Princeton PSAT is pretty accurate.

what was your score (Not percentile), and what grade are you applying for?

My practice scores were
Princeton: 2200 (730 verbal, 750 math, 720 reading) (36, 39, 34)
Barrons 1: 2230 (685 verbal, 785 math, 760 reading) (30, 48, 38)
Barrons 2: 2315 (770 verbal, 800 math, 745 reading) (46, 49, 36)

I’m applying to exeter and andover for 9th grade, but I really connect to andover

I’m taking the SSAT in a few weeks so I guess we’ll find out! By the way, does anyone have an effective way for studying for the verbal (that doesn’t cost anything)?

is the best and you donate rice to hungry people

i used this book and took the exam (for upper level, which i assume you are on as well). i also ordered the book of practice tests that you have the option of buying when you register for the ssat. i recommend both.
anyway, i found that the first upper level test in the princeton book was fairly easy, and the second was far more difficult. everyone says that taking the real test is the luck of the draw, because some are way harder than others. in comparison to the one i took, which i consider easy-medium, the first princeton practice test was the most similar in difficulty out of all the ones i took. however, i highly recommend practicing both easy and very difficult ones. good luck to you all, and make sure you relax on testing day!

I used this same book, but, it really doesn’t help, like, at all, specifically the math section. I took the practice tests and received an 82% or something, but, when I took the actual test, i got a 54%. The math section in the test is completely…wrong! None of those types of questions even appeared on the actual test! I think you should just buy the actual SSAT study guide.

I think its the same but you might do better on the real ones because on a practice at my school(exact same set up as when i really take it so everything was same, I take them at my school) I got a 71 but on the real one I got a 93 and I did things out of the book and i was getting 60’s sadly because yea… mentalllll brakeeeee downnnnnn… but yea you will probs do even better  CONGRATS!!!

For me, the Princeton Review was very accurate.

My acutal SSAT scores were off by only one percent… except for the math which I made a couple careless mistakes.

The English sections are easier on the Princeton Review’s practice tests (in my opinion).
