I am applying to Andover and Milton and on my Jan. SSAT I got 800 Verbal 800 Quantitative and 689 on my Reading (99 99 and 68 percentile). 96 percentile overall for my grade. I currently go to a public school in California but I used to go to a private school. Milton application may be late because they have not scheduled an interview with me and recommendations. I also went to the andover summer program and got good grades and comments from my teacher’s there.
I play 2 instruments, run cross country and I have done robotics and MUN.
What are my chances?
I would say that your chances look pretty decent. that 68 might hurt you a bit though. Schools don’t like 99, 99 and a sudden drop, but the SSAT is just one factor. Don’t worry about the late application. That Andover summer program is a definite boost. Two instruments are always a plus.
Do you have any awards, etc? I’ve been doing nothing but writing contests for the past year, so I have a notable list of awards, but for you, your MUN, two instruments, and that summer program should definitely help you stand out.
