St. John's University for Pharmacy or Brooklyn College BA MD program for Medicine?

Hello everyone,
This is my first post on CC, I hope you all will help me.

I have always had a dream to be a doctor. But after I came to the United States, I thought that it would be very difficult for me to get accepted to schools for Pre-Med. So, I applied to some schools for Pre-Med and some for Pharmacy. I have been accepted to St. John's University and Long Island University for the Doctor of Pharmacy. I have also been accepted to Brooklyn College for the BA MD program and to Rochester Institute of Technology for Biomedical Science as a Pre-Med. I really want to do the Pre-Med to become a doctor. But I am a little less confident about that I will be able to be successful at the end. So, I am thinking about Pharmacy in St. John's University too. Would you guys please help me decide which one I should choose and why? If I choose Pre-Med, which college should I choose? I have also been accepted to City College, Hunter College, Lehman College, College of Staten Island, Queens College, SUNY at Buffalo for the major, Chemistry. I wanted to do Chemistry as my major, also as pre-med. Please Please, help me by giving me your recommendations and advices.

I am from South Asia and in the USA for only 2 years.

I think any of the pharmacy schools in my own view. It allows you to have a good professional first degree and you can have a back up if you change your mind about medicine. It is a win win situation in terms of your future outlook.

You could always do the undergraduate pre-requisites for each, then once you know which you want to pursue you can apply. It will give you a little more time to figure out what you actually want to do. You could always go PA or DO if you’re worried about not being able to get into med school.

If you’re passionate about medicine, go for it. I personally wouldn’t go straight into pharmacy if it’s not exactly what you want to do.
