St. John's University PharmD Program

1/15 I believe

I haven’t received my decision yet and I applied for priority action. Anybody receive theirs?

When do decisions come out for regular decision applicants?

i inquired today and admissions said that my letter is in the mail and that i should get it by the end of this week

Are you early action buffalo??

I applied early action too, but I haven’t received my letter yet. I’m hoping it’s coming in the mail soon.

st johns doesnt have early action i thought. i applied september 28th though lol

Do I have a chance?

ACT 32
GPA 96
Essay Perfect
ECs: 360 hours, 2 clubs, National Honor Society
Rank: top 10%
2 APs in Senior Year

@ mrabia786, I think you are pretty much set for the pharmacy program.

I STILL haven’t gotten a letter yet and I applied priority decision. When I called the school they told me they hadn’t reviewed my application yet! Nice to know that my application is still being reviewed 16 days after the date they were supposed to give me a decision…

Anybody else have the same problems?

@ SJ0593

I applied priority too and and haven’t received a decision yet either. I called one of the admissions counselors last week, and she said that SJU is using a new application for pharmacy students and unfortunately some applications were not processed correctly (mine including). But, she said that the she fixed the problem and the decisions should be out within two weeks (two weeks from last Tuesday that is).

Do you know anyone who got their acceptance letter yet for the PharmD program? Or anyone who has a similar problem to us?

Just received my acceptance letter today, with $17,000 scholarship! I’m so psyched!

i got my pharmD acceptance letter today! with $8000, which is kinda small in proportion to the whole tuition, so hopefully i can get good scholarships elsewhere cuz i reallyyy wanna go here!! :/

Congrats! Were you an early decision or regular decision applicant?

I’m surprised i even got in because i had low SAT (1800, high math, low reading) and not that exceptional ECs, but they accepted me into their pharmacy program with a $5000 award which really isn’t much but hey, at least it’s something. If anyone is curious, it’s a wonderful program 0-6 that doesn’t require you to take the PCAT. If you’re in as a freshman you’re in for the whole program unlike other pharmacy schools where you have to go there for two years to take the PCAT and determine if you’re good enough to get in, if not, you wasted two years.

all the 0-6 are like that (st. Johns, Rutgers, northeastern etc.) it’s the much mkre numerous 2+4 schools you are referring to (uconn, Albany etc.)

SJUforyou, i was an early action applicant and applied mid-november, but they got all backed up with applications so instead of getting a response in mid-january i got it mid-february. but heyy i cant complain, i totallyyy thought i wouldnt make it in! haha

Congrats! Yeah i got it too with $9K per year. SJU costs like 43000 per year though and the tuition for pharmacy year 3-6 increases to $35,000. So thats like 250,000 for all six years! Freakinnnnnn expensiveeeee!

@northerncardinal I don’t know anyone with a similar problem, but I am guessing you probably got in already.

Is there ANYBODY who hasn’t gotten in yet? Am I the only one? Apparently there was something wrong with my SAT score report a few weeks ago, but I really think I should be hearing back now. I want to commit to Rutgers Pharm, so this is the only thing holding me down.

I’m still waiting also

I got an email response from st. johns and they said that admission decisions have been pushed back from march 1st to march 15th because they are behind
