St. Paul's School Concord NH

Congrats SevenDad! Outstanding news. I like the SPS campus. It’s a great school. And I noted that when Exeter was cutting back on bagels due to budget cuts, SPS had bagels and fruit in the hallways of the academic buildings in case students skipped breakfast.

Nice attention to detail.

Exie: My husband was really impressed by the bagels and fruit in the hallway at SPS too. I think it’s still his favorite prep school.

7Dad: Your family chose schools carefully, and the good results are in–one confirmation, anyway, of the good fit theory. Congrats!

I was unfortunately waitlisted. I wonder how many students were waitlisted ? Winterset would you have any information on that ? Oh and I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to everybody who got into SPS. It’s a great school, no doubt !

Congratulations all. I hope those 7 junior male admits are football and lacrosse players.

How can you find out if your accepted at SPS? I cannot find anything on their website

They sent you log in info, use that info and go to the upper right hand corner where it says sign in. Once you’ve done that you just sign in and it will take you to your decision.

GFromage, SPS mailed you a letter with the login information.

We’re waiting for our son to get home from school to find out. waiting

Congratulations to 7Dad’s daughter!

Good luck Periwinkle ! I’m sure your son will get good news!

Thanks for all the shout-outs, everyone. I’ll pass the good vibes on to my daughter when I see her later…we were not going to check any schools until tonight, but when I saw some people post SPS results before breakfast today, I gave her the option and she took it. Fingers crossed for everyone still awaiting news…

Sevendad, in your letter did you get any information on how many kids were waitlisted ?

rejected. damn.!

Swissbrit, you are so kind!

At this point, my son has three acceptances in hand. SPS offered a spot on the wait list, which we will not accept.

Good luck to all!

My son was waitlisted and he will definitely be waiting!

Only my 2nd post here so still a total newb. As I said earlier today my son was waitlisted and as I watch the posts I see the disappointment and elation from various posters.

A couple of days ago there was a suicide of an eleven year old boy in the town where I work, and he was known by the sons of several co-workers. Apparently he was a victim of bullying and felt that he had nowhere else to turn.

I don’t know the boy’s situation personally, but it immediately overwhelms any feeling that I might have about which great school my kid might attend. Please know that no matter where you or your child ends up, the very fact that you’re reading these posts means that there’s a pretty good chance that there will be success in your future.

Good luck to all, and kiss your children and parents.

@SevenDad,
Congrats to your daughter. :)

cant believe i got accepted. looking forward to see all of the great people at the revisit!!

Accepted
Does anybody know about St. Paul’s music program especially the orchestra?

Glenabbey - SPS has an AMAZING orchestra. A select group from the orchestra is performing in Cuba this week. Do you have specific questions? What instrument do you play?

Some are elated, some are biting their nails, and some have broken hearts.
  :(

I feel like all of you that applied are part of our SPS CC family. For years I have talked to the admissions people. I know they wish they had the flexibility to admit all of you. You are ALL wonderful applicants. It is a job I am glad I do not have. Trying to build a form is an art form. But it doesn’t reduce the hurt. As I have said, SPS may need a harpist or a hockey goalie, but they (unfortunately) do not need an orchestra or a team of just them. They have to build a balanced form. That is particularly tough for a small school like St. Paul’s.

So what does it look like this year for our SPS CCers? I am certain there are mistakes in the following lists (so forgive me and correct me), but here goes:

Congratulations to Those Accepted !!!. Let’s hope they all accept their offers size=-2[/size]:

If you are among Those Waitlisted, we hope you will clear the list. I suspect the admits were based on last year’s record high yield, so do NOT give up hope. [Google images for “Don’t Ever Give Up!”] If you want SPS, tell them so, and why and hope for the best. I hope everyone on this thread will support you in any way they can:

If you were Not Admitted, we share your disappointment! I hope you got into another school. Love that school. Forgive SPS, but this is perhaps their tightest year ever. Keep your spirits up. YOU were not rejected; you simply could not be admitted this year. A subtle but important distinction. I personally know of several amazing teens I wish had been admitted. It just did not happen. Visit with us on this thread and let us know how you are next year.
