@Tibetan
I’m a girl hahah, how about you?

Congrats on your acceptances guys!! In terms of acceptance packages, you just get a letter. If you go to revisits you get a t shirt and all that stuff then. (and you can of course go to the bookstore and get a sweatshirt or something on your own)

friendlymom basically nailed it for dorms…all I can say is every dorm has pros and cons, so there are no “really good” or “really bad” dorms.

:)

Pelican16— ohh, for some reason I thought we were getting a package but I’m sure you are right. Are you in III Form??

You will get a package that mainly contains forms and financial info for the parents.

I agree with Pelican16 that dorms - or houses as they are referred to at SPS - have their different pros and cons. Although its fun to hear about them, you won’t have the option of choosing a house but will be placed into one your first year. You do have the option of indicating a preference for a double or single, and the school will do their best to get your your preference although there are no guarantees. There are slightly more singles for boys than for girls.

Congrats to all who were accepted and best of luck to those on the waitlist!

chocolatefudge, I’m a girl. It will be a big change for me going to SPS, implies big changes including moving continents, but sooo excited to have been accepted, really looking forward to April 4th! Any body else out there cares to post regarding yr acceptance, WL???

@chocolatefudge and @Tibetan I am a girl to and am going to sps this fall but in 3rd form :/

@Tibetan
ooh! moving across continents~ are you tibetan? (like ur ID lol)

@Blessemy if we all decide to go to sps then we’ll meet when the new students all arrive! are you going to revisits?

Yes but I do not know which date. I will pm you when I find out @chocolatefudge

bump bump bump

Congratulations on your acceptances to St. Paul’s!! I’m a third former right now and I absolutely love it. It’s a wonderful school where you’ll meet incredible students and faculty members.

@scone1 thanks! I’m really looking forwards to revisiting ><
i was accepted to fourth form too so we’ll actually be in the same grade in the fall!><

I have a son who is a current Fourth Former and my middle son was just accepted into next year’s Third Form. If you have any questions that I might be able to answer, fire away.
One thing I can say is that my son absolutely loves SPS.

Is a SPS swim team (and member of NEPSSA) in the future offing for prospective competitive swimmers interested in SPS down the line?

I’m really not sure, I have a friend who was a really competitive swimmer and now he just doesn’t swim. However, if you feel like you can’t give it up, I do know of someone who is on Concord’s swim team and goes to practice everyday and has meets and everything.

I feel like voice from the past. Glad people seem to still be staying mostly positive and non-competitive with the other great schools. CONGRATULATIONS to those admitted, prayers for those wait-listed and condolences for those they did not have room for. Good luck to all.
If admitted - just accept it, don’t agonize. You will love it.
If Wait-listed - keep your spirits up and hope.
If disappointed - life continues and make the best of your opportunities.

lth111 - sorry this reply is so late - the SPS lax program is on the rise - there have been several key additions to the team in the past few years, and it seems as though the Lax program is getting some love from the admissions office. They are currently middle to lower middle of the ISL - however there are high expectations for this year if they can keep key players healthy - the team has skill, but little depth at this point. SPS will play many games this year that could go either way, 2-3 games they will get blown away, 2-3 they will dominate. A skilled player will be able to come in and have an impact right away and possibly be the difference between winning or losing a few of those games that could go either way.

I have two questions:
- Is there any summer orientation for freshmans for sps?
- What should we expect at the first day of school at sps?

Blessemy - Athletes and Sixth Formers usually arrive on/around Tuesday. New students arrive on Thursday, and the rest of the school returns on Saturday.
DAy one is mostly about settling in, but they keep you pretty busy. SPS does a great job of orienting new students through multiple social events, meetings and meals. My son really enjoyed his first few days.

Thank you @gr8pond :)
