....even xbox live?

lol

lolz
Who wouldnt be excited to go to SPS?
as for me- I can't w8 2 get away from home

Yeah, i'm a current 3rd former.

And in guys dorms gaming systems are more of a problem than in girls dorms. And people have 32 inch hd plasma tvs which they claim to be used as "computer screens"

....the sad thing is, i can't either.

it's not that i hate being at home, it's just that i wanna grow up and live my own life.
.....and my parents nagging me and scolding me is just ANNOYING.
i'm psyched.

And once you go to BS and start coming home for breaks you'll find that your parents give you a lot more unexpected freedom!

sweet, i'm pumped

two things are big distractions for the guys at sps: gaming systems and poker including online poker. however, these are huge issues on college campuses today. it would be easy for sps to ban gaming systems and poker playing but then the students would have to deal with it in college.

sps gives students a lot of freedom to make choices. this better prepares young people for college than not allowing them to make many of their own decisions. as a parent, it seems scary at first but it has been the best thing for my son. i think sps is the best boarding school in the usa. while the academics are strong, i believe that sps has a unique school culture that builds well rounded people.

d2g: 8 students from the Lone Star state, so you are not totally alone.

And my advice would be to leave the gaming system at home, at least at first. My son's third form roommate came real close to flunking out in his first term because of games. My son refused to play, but the room was invaded by endless players. Roommate ended up being required to go to a study room every night. So.... adjust first before you retreat to cyberspace.

@ mehkins: you have a friend who's a diver?! omigosh. he must be super cool ;) ;)

does SPS have varsity/junior varsity/club diving of any type??
at deerfield, there were only 3 divers. that was rather ..sad. D:

yeh but i truly beleive that best school has the best matriculation or scores or sports, but sps isnt the top in any of those that im aware of.

SPS, DF, and Milton are best in matriculation

??? !! SPS isn't the top of any of these? #1 matriculation. (#3 scores last year, #2 the year before and so close to #1 that 2 sick students could swing it). Sports it varies. The bigger schools have an edge. The schools that take PG's have an edge. But in some sports SPS is phenomenal!

we30. I know you were waitlisted, but don't go to the dark side on us!

I bet it was a sarcasm post haha .

No diving offered at SPS

Aw, darn..
