St. Paul's School Concord NH

Had the kid who contracted swine flu traveled to Mexico or been in contact with someone who was recently there?

i think winterset is so adamant about not posting the names because his kid is an sao.

by the way i saw you at exeter crew races, winterset. those would have been better had the food table not been monitored more heavily than the mexico border and had we won more than one race.

i dont think the school will close down because of H1N1. Itā€™s not that seriousā€¦ and iā€™m sure that kid will be just fine. was he a senior?

I have a question, in what publication is the student enrollment published in? I have an online version from 2 years ago that i got from this thread. does it come out in the Alumni Horae? or something else?

and for anyone who has already sent in thier student ID, this picture is suppose to resemble a passport photo in the sense that itā€™s just your head and shoulders, right?

I, as well, doubt the school will close down. H1N1 hasnā€™t proven to be the major health problem in the U.S. that the initial hype indicated.

The student is not a senior. Emdee, I am unaware of any connection to Mexico, but at this stage, the virus is so widespread that no connection to Mexico is needed.

Head and shoulders is correct for the student ID. Make sure you like the pixture. It is also used in the schoolā€™s online ā€œfacebookā€, which is a school directory, as well as in the printed version of the school directory.

I sent in my yearbook photo.

What is the deadline for the photo?

I lost the little card thingy, but I would assume soon. The e-mail that requested last semester grades simply said ā€œMeanwhile, please make sure you or your child has sent a head-and-shoulders photo for the Directory to cfoote@sps.edu.ā€

the Photos are due June 1st

do new students request certain dorms? is that allowed? It seems a little odd toā€¦

New students can request dorms, most people donā€™t. But you most likely will not get into the dorm that you request

Bill Matthews just sent another push mail re the H1N1 virus. It basically says:

 1. If you are or have been sick do not come to Anniversary/Graduation
 2. If you are at high risk for the flu do not come.
 3. There will be lots of hand sanitizers available
 4. The one student with H1N1 ā€œis expected to return healthy this week to school.ā€

Does anyone want the whole posting?

Forgive my multiple postingsā€¦

This ā€˜push-mailā€™ link was just released. It connects you to a panel of pictures of students. As you click on EACH of the 5 of them an audio commentary from that student pops up. While they are designed as fundraising pieces, the comments by current students with a diversity of intersts are worth listening to.
Interesting, thanks for the post.

BTW no one answered me, does SPS keep GPAs or not? And if so how?

No, there are no GPAā€™s or anything of the sort. The closest thing to it is testimonials I guess.

Lol no GPA, no letter grades, no rankā€¦colleges must be so confused.

Thatā€™s the point (I sometimes think) make colleges admit the person not the numbers. Plus it reduces the competition between students a bit.

I think its awesome. I wish we had that system.

Another case of swine flu has been confirmed

Yes - I heard another student left school, however, the original student who left is healthy and back - just in time for finals, lucky dog! ;)
