I know two ninth grade boys (entering ninth) who got in on Sunday

do you know if any more would be called off?

Overenrolled

^^^Yes, just heard the same. Higher yield than anticipated, apparently.

Since SPS is overenrolled, did you take yourselfs off of the summer waitlist?

Were they overenrolled for every form? Just curious if anyone ever got off.

We got the same message everyone did- over enrolled. “Little to no chance of getting in.” We stayed on the wait list anyway. We had given up hope. My son was called last week and was accepted off the wait list. Wait and pray- that’s all you can do.

Congrats @Calnat. I often tell students it isn’t over until it’s over. The biggest jolt to existing families is having to pull the trigger on tuition over the summer. For some on monthly plans the payments start in March so the intent to commit to the school is clear. For other families, the two payment and single payment plans start in mid to late summer. Intending to write a check with that many places to the left of the decimal point, and being able to, are often not synonymous. So there have been CC parents who got a call (with or without aid) in the summer when they’d given up hope. So wait and pray is good advice.

But for those still waiting - also make plans to move on. If you get the call, let it be a happy surprise. Don’t let it become an obsession that ruins your summer.

Bump ^_^

Any recent/new news regarding the St. Paul’s wait list?

Not at all!
