hey I have a question. A friend of mine applied to Stanford through questbridge, his application deadline was after mine and he will receive his decision on Dec. 2 I believe, are the questbridge applicants in the same pool as SCEA or a pool of their own?

And Diivio I think he was saying if he gets accepted to Stanford he will still apply to MIT

Wow I’m sorry I didn’t read the previous threads. thanks.

i think their own pool

EVERYONE POST UNNECESSARILY TO BEAT YALE!!! WOOOHOOO!!!

Just kidding; please don’t.

If I was accepted at Stanford (too anxious to even ponder that miracle happening), I’m applying to Harvard, Yale, and Princeton right now, and I already applied to the UCs, so hopefully I like to at least get accepted at the UCs and ideally all of them. I think I might apply to MIT as well. But reality tends to bite most in the backside, so I shall not linger any longer on these thoughts.

haha im kind of tempted too…

cept they would probably call party foul on us

Originally I was still going to apply to Harvard and MIT if I was accepted, but now I’ve changed my mind. I’m packing for California if a miracle occurs Dec 11-15.

If I’m rejected, I’ve got a lot of schools to apply to, eh.

Handsome Dan got owned by Harvard last weak… and 2 hours later I have no memory haha (Stanford Cal game)

woo 52 posts already today :P

gogogogo

make that 53

@ Nitro Hawk, I love the idea of a random generator! Or, for those of you who have a TI-84 or TI-83 or TI-89, there is a random integer generator. So, if we all set our parameters for the calculator to generate an integer between 1-20, we could say that we would get into Stanford if we guess the correct number. That wouuld be a 5% chance, which is pretty much the chance of getting into Stanford.

Haha, I don’t know why I was looking at Yale’s thread anyway. They started earlier than us, so I think that we’re actually beating them in posts/day.

Which colleges will you apply to ::
a. If you get into REA Stanford - None.
b. If you don’t - Duke, Princeton, Yale, Harvard, MIT, Cal Tech, Vanderbilt, Dartmouth, Cornell, Northwestern, WashU, Brown, UPenn, UC-Berkeley, UNC, UVA, Wake Forest, Columbia.

I think it’s really sad that we’re all online and it’s Thanksgiving. :]

I have 69 total posts in this thread!

Err, make that 70.

14 days 9 hours until Dec 11 at 12:00 AM.

Oh, even though I’m a full supporter of beating Yale’s SCEA thread, I don’t think we should increase the number of useless posts. We could just dedicate more time to discussion on here.

This is really sad. That Yale’s SCEA is this much of an ego bruiser. :)

UC Berkeleys deadline is the 30th I believe, so get crackin!

yea i know about the TI’s ones but thats beside the point of it

it needs to be a set formula w/parameters

i made one for the ACT when we were waiting for our scores, aparently i was supposed to get a 26 :P

Have you guys already discussed the people who applied to Stanford “as a joke.” I know some people who are really qualified but applied, but then again I knew someone like that 2 years ago and got in :(

i know alot of people who say they would apply as a joke, but the $80 or 90 or whatever it was price tag usually scares them off

I love my TI and I will not lie. I just did it and I failed.

I agree, the formula is a very cool idea. Pretty sure Yale doesn’t have it :]

I know. I’m working on the essay for UC Berkeley right now. What annoying questions (AKA, I can’t use the one from the Common App).

i want to be buried with my TI 84 Plus, no joke

There are quite a few people applying as a joke from my school. $90 is nothing considering that if they got in, they would probably go and spend $200,000 on an undergrad education. But I doubt many people would apply as joke SCEA.
