Can someone please post the name of the Reddit thread or a link?
Speaking of the myth, if removal of address means rejection, I personaly find it hard to believe that Stanford site developers would do such a sloppy job. However, logically thinking there must be some technical explanation why it’s gone for some folks, but stays for others. Any ideas?
From some youtube videos I have just watched, most people with their home and mailing addresses have gotten in. And the ones without get rejected. But I do agree that’s a pretty sloppy job.
My D was accepted 2 yrs ago and our address was on the portal. For my son this year, the address is gone…
Damn this is disappointing news…
But isn’t it weird that everyone on here reported that their address was gone?
My address, withdraw, and update aren’t gone
Oh well… I can actually submit some other apps now
Yah, but then again you have to also put in mind that many people get rejected from Stanford.
Honestly all we can do right now is hope that was fixed for this year.
this is sad, but it’s alright guys, you still don’t know for sure. and even if it’s what we think it is, we’ll still have amazing futures : )
Yeah I have to still do Brown and Princeton soo now I have some motivation
Yes, I agree.
Anyway, if you guys get accepted without the addresses please tell us if you don’t mind. I’ll probably check mine in the morning. Thanks.
Every year for every college there are rumors about stuff like the address. They never pan out to be true as far as I can tell. Good luck everyone!
I hope so!!!
two hours left, i can’t fall asleep : /
Bro rip no address and no update. I sweated so hard for REA too and thought I had a chance. Stanny had to do us like that tho.
guys i applied to colleges last year and there were similar myths about Stanford and USC. based on that i should have been rejected but i got into both. trust me there’s no merit in any of these conspiracies lol.
When my son applied to his ED school, not Stanford, there was a big hullabaloo about if something was on the portal the kids were in or not. Same idea- it wasn’t true. And since my job is in higher ed admission, I see this every year! You just have to wait! GOOD LUCK TO YOU!
exactly! this happens every year. you just have to wait until the decisions officially come out - believing these ideas only makes you more scared for no reason!
