***Stanford Class of 2019 Applicant Discussion***

Nervous. I can tell you that. How do you all feel? Are you doing RD or SCEA? This is just a chance for all of us to let everything out until the Acceptance (Hopefully ;) ) or Rejection Letters. Good luck to everyone!!!

I know what you’re thinking…isn’t anyone applying to Stanford this year? It’s awfully quiet on this board…The students that are attracted to Stanford tend to be the ones who don’t like to talk about grades, their major accomplishments, test scores, and whether they are planning to apply to Stanford…they like to keep the information close to their vest…

…rest assured…99.99% of the students who will be applying REA and regular will not be posting on this thread or CC :wink:

@gravitas2‌ I hope no one thinks that I’m not serious! :slight_smile: I think I might join that 99.99 percent lol.

I wish more people would talk…but anyways, I’m applying ED (Fingers crossed!) and for financial aid from Kenya. These supplements are killing me!

I am. SCEA.

It’s REA not SCEA. There’s a huge difference.

Pretty sure that REA and SCEA are the same. They both require you to apply EA only to one school…

Different names, but come on. It’s basically the same thing. We could get get nit picky but that would be pointless.

REA! scared and nervous, considering the terribly low statistics from recent years.

REA and beyond nervous! Lol I’ve already started crying about my rejection and I haven’t even sent in my application yet.

gotta send my app in in 10 days for the early arts supplement deadline. finally done with common app essay after 10 drafts, recording my tape this friday, and still working on all those supplements!

what kind of art @heldenleben‌ ? I’d think I’d cry with such an early deadline!

@KelMoo I’m over thinking that if I do REA then I’ll just get rejected in December instead of April lol.

@emenya‌ violin! so its actually a music supplement, i was just using “arts” in the general sense. yeah, it’s quite a struggle, but its nice to know that they really care about the supplements!

I hate how the music supplement is due so early. I’m recording my tape on Thursday.

@emenya best of luck to us both! haha

Well best of luck to both of you @KelMoo and @heldenleben‌ . Hoping for good news come December lol!

On another note, what is everyone putting as their possible major? For me it’s Bioengineering. #Bestmajorever

@emenya My first interest is Mathematics. My second is Anthropology. My third is Feminist Studies.

@KelMoo‌ what do you play?

Computer science as a major, and maybe violin performance and creative writing as secondary/tertiary studies.

@emenya computer science definitely

I am so nervous about Stanford!!! I want to go soooo bad!! I woke up this morning all excited because I thought I got in… Shortly realizing that I had just dreamed it.
